At Glen C Rodger we are a modern progressive accountancy practice and as such we deliver a personalised service to our clients. Our skills and flexibility, when combined with our straightforward and cost effective approach, make us particularly successful in supporting dynamic, ambitious small to medium size enterprises, owner managed businesses and the people who run them.
We offer the best of both worlds: a small firm with a one to one approach coupled with the resources and expertise of a large practise. Each client has access to all of our team’s resources as well as our professional network – a range of associates and colleagues with specific experience and expertise.
The professional network is our way of staying small enough to have a hands-on relationship with all our clients, whilst at the same time being powerful enough to deal with the most complex of situations. This means we can provide you with a better quality of service at an affordable cost.
Using the most up to date technology available including in depth knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks and other software packages, we work in partnership with our clients to provide a comprehensive and effective service. This practice has been established for over 40 years and has traded from Cragside House since 1970
Meet the directors
Ed Watson – FCA
Ed joined the firm in 1990, having gained many years experience in practice with both international and local organisations. Ed’s client base covers most sectors but in particular includes the travel and leisure sector. Ed has expertise in all areas of the taxation of Owner Managed Businesses and high net worth individuals. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Robin Purvis – FCA
Robin also joined the firm in 1990 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant and gaining experience in both local and national environments. Robin works with a wide range of clients and his specialist skills encompass personal and corporate tax planning, management advice on general businesses and specific projects. Robin’s client base includes many clients in both the property and services sectors, as well as certain charitable and non-profit making organisations.

We are an authorised training office for ICAEW and ACCA which enables us to provide trainees with the opportunity to gain wide practical experience over a whole range of assignments throughout the duration of their training.
We believe that training with a smaller but progressive firm is a challenging and rewarding career path to the Chartered accountancy qualification and produces young professionals with a comprehensive all round ability and sound accountancy skills.
